For many people, trying to find something to be thankful for this year might be quite difficult due to the pandemic, as it has impacted pretty much every aspect of daily life. But something local families can definitely appreciate is the effort the team at El Reno Family Dentistry has put into adapting and making sure you, your loved ones, and our community stay completely safe at every visit. We’ve updated our already strict infection control and sanitation protocols, which means it’s perfectly fine to schedule a visit to your dentist in El Reno before the holidays kick into full gear. In fact, coming in for a quick checkup and cleaning is one of the best ways to avoid a dental emergency this holiday season!

Why You Can Enjoy Peace of Mind at Your Next Appointment

The health and safety of our patients have always been our top priority here at El Reno Family Dentistry, and we’ve doubled our efforts in light of COVID-19. The next time you come to see us, you can breathe easy knowing that we’re doing everything we can to lower the chance of infection to practically zero, including (but not limited to):

  • In addition to our normal PPE, our entire team wears N95 masks.
  • State-of-the-art air filtration has been installed in every treatment area.
  • We’ve invested in new instruments that limit aerosolization.
  • Every patient is given a short health screening before entering the building.
  • We have implemented a virtual check-in.

How a Dental Appointment Can Help You Avoid a Dental Emergency

The absolute last thing you want right now is to have to deal with is a toothache, broken restoration, or cavity. Thankfully, a few simple tips can ensure you and your smile stay healthy this season:

  • Schedule a checkup and cleaning at El Reno Family Dentistry so we can find, diagnose, and fix any minor problems before they cause you real trouble!
  • Be very careful when biting into any foods that have nuts or bones.
  • Even if your routine has been disrupted, please brush and floss two times per day.
  • After eating, wait about 30 minutes, then brush your teeth. This allows your saliva to wash away any acidic beverages (like wine and coffee) that could soften your enamel and make you more likely to damage it while cleaning.
  • Drink plenty of water to wash away excess food particles so they can’t settle on your teeth and help harmful bacteria create plaque.

This holiday season promises to be unlike any other. From our family to yours, please stay safe so you can start 2021 on the right foot. To schedule a quick checkup and cleaning at El Reno Family Dentistry, or to learn more about our safety protocols, click here to contact us.
