One of our main goals here at El Reno Family Dentistry is to constantly improve our level of care and service, so in addition to training ourselves, we regularly update our dental office so we can offer the latest technology. This dedication to progress is why we opened our state-of-the-art facility in 2016. You’ll be amazed at what we can accomplish these days thanks to the equipment highlighted below. To come experience the very best that modern dentistry in El Reno has to offer, be sure to schedule an appointment today.

iTero® Digital Impression System

Instead of creating a physical model of your teeth and bite ahead of any treatment, which can be messy and uncomfortable, we’ve now digitized the process. In minutes, we can scan all of the teeth with a handheld instrument that captures thousands of data points per second. On a nearby monitor, these are quickly pieced together to generate a perfect impression. This method is fast, precise, and we never have to waste time on retakes.

CT/Cone Beam Scanner

Every successful dental treatment starts with a plan, and that’s especially true when it comes to more complicated procedures like dental implant placement. When we need to gather as much information about a patient’s dental anatomy as possible, we use our 3D cone beam scanner. Essentially, it allows us to take a very sophisticated X-ray that helps us see all of a patient’s teeth and both jawbones in a single, cohesive image. Rather than being flat, the image is a fully interactive model. In addition to showing us how the teeth are oriented, we can also determine the thickness of the jawbone and see the location of sensitive facial nerves. This enables us to form a treatment plan that is especially suited to each patient.

Intraoral Cameras

Rather than just examining you with our eyes, we’ll also utilize a small camera to take close-up, high-resolution images of your teeth and gums. This enables us to see parts of your mouth that we can’t otherwise, plus we can display the images on a large monitor so we can more easily spot the early signs of decay or damage. Your dentist will even go over your images with you so you’ll literally be able to see your smile from their perspective and better understand what they are talking about.

All-Digital X-Rays

X-ray technology has grown by leaps and bounds since the days of traditional film. Now, with fully digital X-rays, we can capture much sharper images of the teeth and jawbone in a fraction of the time compared to the old method. Plus, the process emits 90% LESS radiation, which is great news for our patients, our parents, as well as our team!

Soft Tissue Laser Dentistry

In the past, treating a patient with advanced gum disease would involve a minor surgical procedure, in which the gums were pulled away from the teeth so the roots could be cleaned. Thankfully, we can now accomplish this non-invasively with laser dentistry. Our soft-tissue laser emits a concentrated beam of light energy we can use to remove harmful bacteria from deep below the gum line without making any incisions. In fact, the treatment is so gentle that most patients don’t even need local anesthetic.

Bioclear Matrix System

Bonding has been used for decades to fix slightly cracked or chipped teeth, but the Bioclear Matrix System enables us to take this everyday treatment and elevate it to something special. Rather than placing the bonding directly on the enamel, first a clear guide is applied. This makes it much easier for your dentist to create a restoration that is both aesthetically pleasing as well as functionally strong. The old way was more like free sculpting, and this method makes it as simple as coloring in the lines (while delivering a higher-quality result).
